Every user manages a lot of files and folders on his local desktop and machine. Maybe a provided file share on a network server allows him to move some files into the enterprise storage environment and to some backed up data by the IT organization. But to cooperate with other users and to exchange some documents usually the mail system is used. This results in cluttered user environments, hundreds of copies of the same documents, a lot of untraceable versions of the same document and no capability to search for documents across a user group or project. The configuration allows the definition of fine-grained rules when and how the data is archived. The retrieval is completely automatic and invisible.
